Burrow Creative Works is striving to renew the conversation around grief by providing education, creative expression, and a purposeful invitation to hold grief with a new, compassionate understanding.

Grief is a fundamental part of being human. It impacts each of us from time to time - sometimes for short seasons, and sometimes for the rest of our lives. Despite its commonality, it is all too easy to be uncomfortable around it. The distinctions between grief, sadness, weakness, and hopelessness have become blurred, giving rise to fear, avoidance, dangerous misunderstanding, and denial.

The only cure for grief is to grieve.

This is true, but it also leads to other critical questions.

Burrow Creative Works is taking steps to bring clarity to the discomfort. Brad and Alicia, the founders of Burrow, know this pain well after losing their son, Soren, to brain cancer. They seek to honor the sacred time they had with Soren, actively practice what he taught them, and acknowledge both the pain and beauty they find along the way. They are passionate about asking good questions, research, and acknowledgment, while honestly sharing their observations with others.

Through YouTube education, art installation, and more, Burrow Creative Works desires to come alongside those who are grieving, provide insight for the communities supporting them, and add beauty to the difficult task of facing significant life change.
